Time to begin…

Hi, I’m Dermot – nice to meet you, and welcome to my  blog!

After years of struggling with weight, I  finally decided to take some massive action…

So on this blog, I’ll be documenting my own findings from my  journey into the weight loss industry – including what works, what doesn’t work, and everything in between.

I’m all about giving value, so stay tuned for my step-by-step guides, video tutorials, and helpful tips. This blog will be updated regularly, so stay tuned and lets get ourselves into shape…

You already know, only you can start the process…We have a saying in Ireland that goes like this, you can take a horse to water, but you cant make him drink…However I cant take no for an answer, I still have more weight to lose and so do you…Lets do this people, lets stop looking for reasons not to do it…

I have to admit  enjoy the craic as we say in Ireland, (fun in English)…

So with that said here are some quotes I enjoyed when I read them…

Diet rule 1..If no one see’s you eating it, then it doesn’t contain any calories...

Lose 10 pounds in one week…

 

The Happy egg…

Here we have a diet plan that will lose you 10 lbs in one week…

With this diet it is imperative that it is followed rigorously, no compromise…

If you are on medication please check with your MD first, I found it worked for me, as did many of my friends…All french toast has to dry, no butter/honey etc..

Salads cannot be dressed, absolutely no alcohol for the duration of the 7 days…You can drink tea coffee but no milk or sugar…So without further ado, here it is good luck and it will work…Just stay with it and you will fit into that designer swimming costume…

Day 1…         Breakfast… 1 slice of french toast, with 1 grilled tomato (canned is fine)..

                    Lunch ….       Fresh fruit, any amount …

Evening….     2 hard boiled eggs . Salad and Grapefruit…                                                               ———————————————————————-

Day 2…         Breakfast…   Grapefruit and 1 boiled egg…

                     Lunch  …       Grilled chicken with tomatoes and french toast…

                     Evening…      Grilled steak and salad…                                                                                    ————————————————————————–

Congratulations, you deserve a big pat on the back…Your body will thank you for it,It is good to let the body fast a occasionally…It gives your vital organs an opportunity to relax a little…Our western diet is hard work on the body, breaking down foods we should not really be eating…

 

 

 

Set Your Target…

The first stage of weight loss is admitting you have to do it…

The second is to start, this becomes positive action…

Do not start without commitment…

Without commitment  failure is absolutely guaranteed…

Setting out your target is always advisable, however be realistic, set a goal you know is attainable…Try to lose 2 pounds per week at first, this is normally easy enough to do…Keep this goal in mind for 5 weeks, at this stage you will have lost 10 pounds…That’s when you start to notice your clothes are fitting you better, your energy levels are rising, your confidence is returning you are now on fire…

10lbs is the minimum to set yourself, I  expect you to do this in 4 weeks…

The easiest way to implement this 2 pounds a week weight loss is exercise…Any form will do but aim for 20 minutes per day, little walks around the house to start then the block etc…Consistency is vital because you will stay focused, you will remain motivated…

Above all else stop buying junk food, keep away from the burger joints…One of the biggest disasters of our time was the supersizing… Why not have a triple deck burger for a buck more, or a 35 ounce cola…

This was total madness, to us it sounded like a great deal at the time…Yet that quick meal has added 1350 calories to your food intake…

Avoid going into these junk food outlets, have a healthy smoothie or better still drink water… I prefer sparkling water as I feel its easier to take in, others prefer still but either way a much better way of taking on liquids…

A Family Exercise Plan…

bicycle-584724_1280 Welcome to this family exercise post, it’s  an easy to download PDF…I have tried to keep it simple and as easy to follow as possible, we all overlook the importance of family in weight loss…By including them in your weight loss plans, either joining you or just encouraging and offering their support will boost your chances of success…

By joining you in losing weight they will also benefit, changing all your eating habits can be a eye opener…Your whole family could actually have a different life, it could be a life of obesity and poor health, or a healthy life free of the serious problems we associate with overweight or obese people…So please do look at my PDF, it might trigger a few light bulbs… A family fit for life plan

Little tips with long term goals…

I will start this section with a simple quote…”You will never reach your goal if you don’t start”…

Here is a simple exercise anyone can do, start walking again…No matter what age, no matter what size,  avoiding  exercise will kill you eventually…

Why not park the car at the far end of the mall, that way you are immediately forcing yourself to

take exercise…This is no torture guys, within a few days walking gets easier…Step it up a little every second day, the benefits are enormous…Avoid cramp, stiffness just by this little  regime, anything that gets your joints moving again is good..
